This “one minute movie” workshop program was carried out for 2 weeks at Ruangrupa. This “one minute movie” program tries to explore this audio-visual language visually, duration, and montage. This project tries to see how the language of film/video is used effectively.
“One minute movie” sees the possibility of a one minute time span as a limitation in expressing that one minute consisting of 24 frames can convey an idea (story) in a work. Participants are invited to dissect the 60 second time into parts that have the content of the rules in the film, such as; stories built from montage (both during the recording and editing process).
This workshop was attended by 21 participants consisting of students and young artists. Held for 2 weeks at ruangrupa and produced 20 films with a duration of 1 minute each. The results of this workshop have only been shown to a limited group of people in ruangrupa.
